I flew to Sicily to catch some firefighter activity. My goal was to record some videos about these wonderful people who risking their lives to fight the flames around the country.
This Aérospatiale AS-350 Ecureuil was fighting a bush fire next to Modica Beach, southern Sicily.
The Eurocopter AS350 Écureuil is a single-engine light helicopter originally designed and manufactured in France by Aérospatiale. It became the world's most widely used helikoter type. The type became very popular also in the United States, they named it „Star” precisely „A-Star”.
The twin engined version is the Eurocopter AS-355 TwinStar.
