Namkeen Pare are crispy, savory Indian snacks made from seasoned flour, cut into delightful diamond shapes, and deep-fried to perfection. These crunchy bites are perfect for teatime or as a party snack, providing a delightful crunch with every bite. Easy to prepare and incredibly addictive, Namkeen Pare can be enjoyed plain or paired with your favorite dips.@mummasboii
Ingredients:
Plain Flour (Maida): 1 cup (मैदा)
Semolina Flour: 1 cup (सूजी)
Powdered Sugar: 3/4 cup (चीनी)
Salt: 1 tsp (नमक)
Baking Soda: 1/4 tsp (बेकिंग सोडा)
Ajwain (Carom Seeds): 1/2 tsp (अजवाइन)
Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp (जीरा)
Ghee: 1/2 cup (घी)
Water: Sufficient for making the dough (आटा गूंथने के लिए पानी)
Oil: Sufficient for frying (तलने के लिए तेल)
Recipe:
1. Take a large plate or mixing bowl. Add 1 cup of Plain Flour (मैदा), 1 cup of Semolina Flour (सूजी), 3/4 cup of Powdered Sugar (बुरादा चीनी), 1 tsp of Salt (नमक), 1/4 tsp of Baking Soda (बेकिंग सोडा), 1/2 tsp of Ajwain (अजवाइन), and 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds (जीरा).
2. Add 1/2 cup of Ghee (घी) to the dry mixture. Mix everything together until it resembles a coarse mixture.
3. Gradually add sufficient Water (आटा गूंथने के लिए पानी) to the mixture, kneading until you form a smooth dough.
4. Cover the dough with a clean cloth or plastic wrap and let it rest for 1 hour.
5. After resting, take the dough and divide it into even, larger pieces.
6. Roll each piece into thick rotis (flatbreads).
7. Cut the rolled rotis into small, even pieces (diamond or square shapes).
8. In a deep pan, heat sufficient Oil (तलने के लिए तेल) for frying. Allow it to reach a boiling temperature.
9. Carefully add the cut dough pieces to the hot oil. Fry on medium flame until they turn golden brown and crispy.
10. Once fried, remove the Namkeen Pare from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Let them cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy your delicious Namkeen Pare as a perfect snack for teatime or gatherings!
