How to Photograph Woodlands + 2 adventures
How to Photograph Woodlands + 2 adventures. In this video, I photograph Woodland, Buttermere plus Catbells.
FESTIVAL OF LIGHT - Last week I ventured up to the Lake district to photograph a charity event called "Festival of Light" It's an amazing spectacle. Supporters of the charity climb Catbells and stop at various points up the mountain. At a certain time when it's dark everybody switches off their head torches and then back on again some ten minutes later. It's a fantastic thing to witness and probably an even better and rewarding thing to actually participate in. This year it was the wife and Sister in-law's turn to venture up the mountain. Well done Paula & Sherryl.
We photographed the event from Latrigg Fell which is located quite a distance away across Derwent Water. The raised location offered a very different perspective of the event!

It seemed a shame to travel all the way to the Lakes and only shoot one location so Tony and I stopped over at Honister Pass. There's nothing like a bacon and egg butty and couple of beers to end the day's activities.
BUTTERMERE - First thing in the morning we ventured to Buttermere just because we were there! OMG was we in for a surprise!
The lake was mirror-like and lighting after a brief 3-hour stay was simply gorgeous. The resulting images are something I'm very proud of.
FISHGARTHS WOOD - This was our final destination. It's a woodland that's covered in Bluebells. I'm saying nothing except WOW!
Watch my triple adventure - COMMENTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!
THANK YOU
