Feedback Control with Python: The PID Algorithm and Controller Tuning Using Collimator
In this video lecture, I show you how to tune and implement a feedback (proportional integral or PI) controller in Collimator. Collimator is a lot like Simulink, but made for Python users. We show how to use internal model control (IMC) tuning relations to get the proportional and integral controller gains after setting the desired controller time constant. We use the PID (proportional integrate derivative) block in Collimator to implement this control system.
