SAS Global Hackathon Regional Awards Ceremony

Together we can empower diversity and improve the world.
Analytics plays a major role in tackling real-world problems, such as humanitarian or business issues. In March, 100 teams comprised of 5 hackers representing 30 countries came together for a month-long hack to solve previously unsolvable problems. By the end, more than 60 teams successfully completed the hackathon.

Amazing stories have emerged from the Data for Good, startups and industry tracks. Find out what these brilliant, code-lovers developed in categories like ag tech, banking, energy, health, insurance, public sector, manufacturing, retail and telecom. The teams used SAS® for AI, machine learning, IoT, natural language processing, image processing with open source on Microsoft Azure and Intel.
During the LIVE award ceremony, we will announce and celebrate the top contributions from the three global regions, sub-industries and technology as well as recognize the global award nominees. The global award winners will be announced at SAS® Global Forum 2021 on May 18.

What to expect during this 60-minute live-stream event:
◉ SAS Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing Jenn Chase and SAS Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Bryan Harris will congratulate the contributing teams – made up of customers partners and students that formed teams. Chase and Harris will also recognize the important role our sponsors, judges, mentors and the SAS Hackathon team played.
◉ Hackathon producers Einar Halvorsen and Peter Lundqvist will be joined by track leaders to share feedback from our distinguished judges and celebrate the innovation advanced by these teams.
◉ Hear stories from our mentors and our regional hosts Kate Ulveling (Americas), Ramya Mopidevi (Asia) and Christer Bodell (EMEA).
