Building a DIY Portable Shower for Car Living | Day 42/43

After spending weeks living out of my Toyota Yaris, I started running into a problem: my feet smelled terrible.
Instead of putting up with it, I decided to build a simple portable shower system that could be used anywhere.

On Day 42, I head to Lowe's to gather the parts needed for the project. Along the way, I capture a beautiful sunrise and a few clips from inside the store before bringing everything back to begin the build.

On Day 43, I lay out all of the components and explain what each part costs before assembling the shower system at a picnic table in the park.

The build uses:

• 2-gallon pump sprayer
• Faucet sprayer
• Faucet sprayer hose
• Brass barb fitting
• Female fitting to reuse the original sprayer nozzle connection
• Teflon tape

After putting everything together, I demonstrate how the finished portable shower works by using it to wash my feet with soap and water.
Simple projects like this can make life on the road more comfortable and help maintain good hygiene while living out of a small vehicle.
