Welcome to Yerevan, Armenia! This city in the heart of the Caucasus region, is the capital of Armenia. This mountainous country was the first in the world to adopt Christianity, and is well known for its prominent religious sites.

In this documentary, we’re exploring its capital city, a city that's steeped in culture, history, and tradition. We’re diving into its ancient landmarks and modern way of life, from the ancient texts and manuscripts at the Matendaran museum, to the local vendors at Vernissage and Gum Market, to the stunning Cascade complex. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or just looking for an adventure, Yerevan has something for everyone.

We’re going to see how they make Armenian carpets at the Megerian Carpet Factory, and the process of making Armenian brandy at Ararat Brandy Factory. Then, we’re going on a road trip to nearby Etchmiadzin to explore Armenia’s religious roots, to a monastery in Geghard that once housed the Spear of Destiny, and to the pagan Temple of Garni.

And along the way, we’re getting a taste of mouthwatering Armenian cuisine, from flaky lavash to meaty basturma to sweet and decadent gata and so much more! So come with me to this incredible city that captured my heart and let’s dive into the culture and food of Yerevan, Armenia!
