Bold Doherty - LYRICS - Dervish

'Don't be bold' in Ireland means 'don't be naughty / a back-talking, misbehaving, cocky idiot.' So calling him Bold Doherty isn't really a compliment :)

naggin (or nagan, or nagin, or however you spell it) is Irish slang for a small bottle of alcoholic spirits, usually 200ml.

2:06 it may be '... about it in Cant'.
Shelta (or Cant) is the language spoken by Irish Travellers (the two tinkers). It is widely known as the Cant, to its native speakers in Ireland as De Gammon, and to the linguistic community as Shelta.
The term tinker traditionally refers to a group of people who travelled the countryside supplying, making and repairing goods made of tin. Tinkers tended to pursue an itinerant lifestyle, not remaining in any one place for too long, but moving from place to place to undertake work.
Performed by Dervish
Album: Midsummer's Night (1999)
