In this video, I discuss how to buy Bitcoin using Coinbase Pro and then move it to a hardware wallet like the Trezor.

I also discuss best practices when it comes to generating fresh addresses, setting up a backup or recovery seed, passphrases, and pins.

It is very important never to leave your Bitcoin on a crypto exchange, but rather to withdraw and hold it on a hardware wallet: "not your keys, not your coins."

A hardware wallet is an easy way to hold your own private keys in an easy to memorize form (12 or 24 recovery seed).

A pin provides an added layer of security for a hardware wallet, while a passphrase allows you to create a second hidden account on the same hardware wallet.

Never share your recovery seed with anyone, never upload it online, or take a picture of it, or put it into an email, or enter it into a browser form. Anyone with access to your recovery seed can steal your Bitcoin.
