Hey Bird Gang! It can be a bit confusing trying to figure out the best foods to feed your parrot on a daily basis. We love our parrots and want the best for them and sometimes we like to share our foods with them.

I’ve put together a methodology to follow when making your parrot’s chop that is easy to mix and match depending on the seasonal availability of food in your area. A lot of parrot owners complain it is too time consuming to make fresh chopped veggie mix daily, but now you can spend a few hours once every 2-3 months (pretty sweet right?) for you to make some parrot chop that you can freeze, defrost the night before, and feed your parrot in the morning followed by some healthy pellets in the evening for meal 2 of the day. It’s the next best thing to daily fresh chop that’s a win-win for you (time efficient) and your parrot (nutrient dense and maintains most of its freshness).
