Your Subject Isn’t the Whole Photo

One of the biggest composition mistakes photographers make is only looking at the subject.
They see the bird. The building. The light.
And stop there.
But the subject is not the whole photo.
The subject lives inside the frame — and the frame changes how the entire image feels.
That’s why a good subject can still create a weak photo when the edges, spacing, balance, and structure are ignored.
