TROPHY Roosterfish! Catch Clean Cook!

This was our last day of fishing with High Tides Fishing Charters out of Puerto Vallerta, Jalisco Mexico. We set out to fish the pacific coast of Mexico and started by slow trolling live bait for roosterfish. We were using live goggle eye for bait. We also spent a lot of time casting topwater lures on the bow, looking for a roosterfish cruising the surface. Roosterfish are nomadic fish that cruise the beaches primarily and you basically intercept them along their migration. They are not fish that hold on structure, so it's hard to pinpoint where they will be at any given time. We caught 13 roosterfish and Brook caught an absolute giant 60+ lb trophy Roosterfish, that video is linked below. We had Out of 13 roosterfish we caught we had one float up and tried reviving it multiple times, but it kept floating belly up. Instead of letting it wash up on the beach, we decided to take it to the hacienda and eat it for dinner. In Mexico it is very common to eat rooster fish.
