The song was written by Jimi Hendrix and recorded in 1967 by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
It is said that he developed the song while performing in New York City's Greenwich Village before signing up with producer Chas Chandler, who was famously one of The Animals. The song is on Hendrix's second album - Axis: Bold As Love. It is said that this album was only recorded to fulfill contract obligations.
Little Wing, however, has gone down in history as a great track.
