Decimal numbers are numbers that are written with a decimal point, such as 26.22, 441,231.4288, or $18.55.

Decimals can be used to represent parts of a whole. For instance, the number 0.5 is equal to one half, so, if you have 40 units of protein powder to sell, and you sell 20 units, then you would divide 20 by 40, which equals 0.5, so, you have sold half of the units.

And many, but not all decimals can be written as fractions, as you see in some examples on the screen.
