If you’re trying to troubleshoot issues, switch to another account, or just wanna take a break from the subscription, signing out is super easy, and I’ll show you how to do it step by step.
First, open the Music app on your Mac.
Now, once you’ve got the app open, look toward the very top of your screen.
You’ll see the macOS menu bar up there. Click on the option that says “Account.”
Once you click on “Account,” a drop-down menu will appear.
From there, look for the option that says “Sign Out” and click it.
After a moment, the app will log you out, and your library will be updated to reflect this change.
Once you sign out, you’re not gonna be able to access the songs you downloaded through your Apple Music subscription, and you won’t see your playlists or any music you’ve added from the Apple Music catalog.
Also, any purchased music that’s tied to your Apple ID might disappear from the Music app until you sign back in with the same account.
So if you’ve got songs that aren’t playing or purchases you can’t see, it’s probably because you’re signed out of your Apple Music account.
And that’s all there is to it. Signing out is quick, and you can always sign back in later by going to the same “Account” section and choosing “Sign In.”
