STORYLINE:
Thousands of people marched in different Latin American cities against the war in the Middle East.
In Santiago, Chile, thousands demonstrated in a protest, holding Palestinian flags.
At the front of the demonstration, a group of people held a banner calling for the "end of genocide."
"I don't want to see more dead children, women left alone, screams, and broken families.", said Pamela Misle, whose parents are Palestinian.
Chilean President Gabriel Boric said Thursday that Israel's response has been "disproportionate and is violating international humanitarian law."
Boric's government withdrew its ambassador from Israel a few days ago amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
In Caracas, Venezuela, government supporters marched to express their support for the Palestinians and demand the cessation of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Similar demonstrations were expected over the weekend in other Latin American cities, such as Mexico City and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
