Everyone needs food to live, but there is a group of people who, without intervention, could literally eat themselves to death. This fascinating and emotional documentary examines the lives, experiences and future prospects of three young people with the chromosome disorder Prader-Willi syndrome, as well as examining the impact on those who care for them. Sufferers of the condition share several typical symptoms, but the main characteristic is a constant ravenous hunger - however much they eat, sufferers can never satisfy their appetite and, unchecked, could kill themselves by overeating. To differing degrees, they also tend to have learning difficulties and behavioural problems. Not only can life be extremely difficult for children and young adults with PWS, but it can also generate huge tension for the families struggling to manage it.
