Bring Home a Wild Horse or Burro
The Bureau of Land Management works to place excess wild horses and burros into private care through its Adoption and Sales Programs as well as through the efforts of our successful partner organizations across the country. Each wild horse or burro is unique and comes with its own personality, quirks and challenges! Many have found it personally challenging and rewarding to adopt or purchase a wild horse or burro. It is a chance to care for, and then own, a part of America’s Western heritage.
