Self-trained chef Kenneth Yong attempts to recreate one of the biggest banquets in Singapore's colonial history - the grand dinner thrown by the colonial government in 1922 for the visiting Prince of Wales, Edward VIII. He goes on an epic quest to uncover the menu, travelling back in time to the height of the colonial era, and discovers surprising nuggets about the life - and diet - of British colonials in Singapore. It seems they really liked to party, and that they also ate food like... rendang spaghetti? Inconceivable!
