Mālama Molokaʻi: Heal the land, Harvest water, Grow food security

The island of Molokaʻi in Hawaiʻi has a reputation of being called ʻAina Momona, "land of abundance." In ancient times the island produced enough food for its own inhabitants and those of other islands as well. Following decades of deforestation, cattle ranching, development and other abuses of the land, the island of Molokaʻi is literally bleeding out. Thanks to SustAINAble Molokaʻi, the Permaculture Research Institute (PRI) of America and Geoff Lawton of PRI Australia, we now have strategies to heal the land and restore it to its healthy state of abundance, harvesting water and providing food for the people of Hawaiʻi. During these difficult and uncertain times, food security is more important than ever. This video is about survival, and doing the right thing. The land takes care of us so we must take care of the land. "He aliʻi ka ʻāina, he kauā ke kanaka."
