While the ukulele is best known for its presence in Hawaiian music, the musical innovators from Ukebox have had great success performing a huge range of British and American pop hits with the distinctive, if diminutive, string instrument. Formed while students at Liverpool Hope University, Ukebox is the world’s first, and probably only, ukulele boyband. They celebrate their 10th anniversary this year and in that time, the band has travelled the world twice and covered 6 continents.
