I think i need to set something clear.

I did not train my legs in the beginning because i was training hard for competitions in badminton. Badminton training is all leg training. You do squats, lunges and you sprint and run. Badminton was my favorite sport back then, i liked it much more than calisthenics and since i already did it for multiple years, my legs where much bigger than my upper body. I trained for Badminton 3 Days a week for 2-4 Hours.
I also trained Parkour, since i like the aspect of having control over your body.

It all changed January 2014 when i had a parkour accident. I had watched a motivational video for parkour that day and was going outside to train. It was really cold that day and i did not warm up because i was so hyped. I sprinted 100meters a couple of times which made my knees hurt alot. But i thought "No Pain no Gain", so i continued. Despite all of the pain i was feeling in my knees i decided it was a good idea to try a backflip off a wall. My whole life changed in this moment, because my knees were both totally fucked after i did not land that backflip properly. After 3 Days of serious pain i went to the hospital and the diagnosis was "jumpers knee grade 3", which is a pretty serious injury that extreme marathon runners usually get. Due to the intense badminton Training i had already developed a jumpers knee, but the sprinting in the cold without warming up and the backflip injured my knees so badly, they said i was lucky my Patella didnt fly out.

I had 2 Options there: The first beeing Surgery and the second beeing a long break from any Sport that puts stress on my Knees. Insurance wasnt paying the surgery until i tried option B, and since i didnt have the money for the surgery, i had to take a 3 Year break from all Sports that put stress on my knees. I wasnt allowed to play badminton, i wasnt allowed to go jogging, i wasnt even allowed to sprint to the bus when i was running late for school.
Since i had done Calisthenics Upper Body training for 2-3 months already, i continued it as my main sport and put my focus on it.

The 3 Year break was over in january 2017, so since then im slowly building my legs again. I started with jogging, which was pretty hard after 3 years of doing absolutely nothing. I was able to jog for 130 seconds in my first jog....
Now after almost 6 months of training my legs again i can run 5km in 26min. I havent tried pistol squats yet, because im not feeling comfortable yet with the stress it puts on my knees. But i will be sure to try it soon.
I wont go back to playing badminton or doing parkour, because my passion is calisthenics now and because im afraid that all of this will happen again.

The reason why i didnt write that in the description of my transformation video or to all the haters saying"Chicken Legs" is this: They wont believe me anyways! :)

I hope that brings light into the dark! And yes, im still able to do my skills, even tho they are harder now with leg training. And also im going to make a Leg-Transformation video in a couple of months :)
