Elvis Presley - Bridge Over Troubled Water - 26 June 1977 - Final Time Performed Live

Elvis Presley sung Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' more than 200 times between 1970 and 1977 but none more poignant than that of his final live rendition of the song.

This poignancy comes from the fact that it was one of those performed at what was at the time merely a tour closing show but would ultimately become Elvis' final live appearance coming as it did six weeks before his death.

Having been caught forever more in celluloid, the 12 August 70 Midnight show and 14 April 72 Greensboro Coliseum performances are perhaps the most well known and amongst the favourites of many fans. This final version perhaps lacks the intimacy of those August 70 versions or the understated power of the 72 versions but this is still a powerful version and sung with no little passion.
