09/15 Arduino Starter kit Project - MOTORIZED PINWHEEL
Get the Arduino to spin a colorful pinwheel using a DC motor.
In the Motorized Pinwheel Project you got a motor to spin in one direction when a push-button is pressed.
Controlling motors with an Arduino is more complicated than just controlling LEDs for a couple of reasons. First, motors require more current than the Arduino’s output pins can supply (a battery and a mosfet/bjt are needed), and second, motors can generate their own current through a process called induction, which can damage your circuit if you don’t plan for it (a diode is needed).

1 - Arduino UNO dev. board
1 - breadboard
1 - push-button
2 - 10 kohm resistor
1 - 1N4007 diode
1 - IRF520N N-MOSFET
1 - 63V 470 uF capacitor (optional)
1 - 9V battery
1 - DC motor
