Neither of the major parties have committed to ‘actual fiscal discipline’

The Motley Fool's Chief Investment Officer Scott Phillips claims neither of the major political parties have committed to “actual fiscal discipline” yet.

“For all the talk about small surpluses, smaller deficits, we know the structural budget is dramatically imbalanced,” Mr Phillips told Sky News Australia.

“It’s going to lead to increasing amounts of debt over the next decade – that is unsustainable. We need to do something about it.”
