Sand Blasting using crushed glass abrasive on a Kawasaki H2 case to clean and remove oxide

Removing aluminum oxide from a casting is one of the tougher jobs an abrasive is asked to do. Crushed glass removes it easily.
Here is a short demo of abrasive blasting the corrosion off of a Kawasaki H2 upper case with crushed glass abrasive blasting media.

Benefits:

It is about half the price of aluminum oxide and is just as fast. I use this this type of media a lot in my own restoration business.

It cuts a tiny bit slower than silicon carbide, but is about a third of the price.

It is safer to use than sand because it contains virtually no free silica.

Does not contain heavy metals or hazardous material, such as arsenic, lead, asbestos, as can be found in coal and copper slag media.

Crushed glass is lighter, so you get more of it per pound than other medias.

Greatly reduced nozzle wear compared to silicon carbide.
