🇫🇷 France Road Trip Adventure 010

The first 3 travel days of our road trip through France, across the Pyrenees and into Spain to catch the ship back to Portsmouth.

Day 1
Depart Midlands 07:30am
Arrive Eurotunnel 11:45am
Crossing 12:40 (delayed 20 mins)
Arrive France 13:30 (delayed getting off 20 mins)
Arrive Le Lac D'Orient £45 per night
We chose this site for a convenient stopover. It was lovely with a beautiful lake and plenty for young kids to do.

Day 2 Drive to Le Coin Tranquille £43 per night. I chose this site because it had great reviews. It is a beautiful site with a good pool, bar and restaurant, we were very pleased with the site for a stopover, there didn't seem to be much outside of the site but we didn't really explore.
Day 3 - Drive to Castellane in the Verdon Gorge. Stayed at the Notre Dame Campsite £30 per night. I chose this for being walking distance to the town and gorge activities. Basic but clean and friendly. It was close to a main road but it didn't bother us as we were out much of the day. Most other campsites in the area needed a car and some were very expensive. I was pleased with my choice, perfect for our needs.
