Islam Makhachev is a Dagestani MMA fighter, he is the current Lightweight champion the lightweight division of The UFC.

After laying low for sometime after his father's Passing away the UFC light weight Champion khabib nurmagomedov opens up about his feelings and state of mind and pays tribute to his late father Abdulmanap nurmagomedov.

Abdulmanap nurmagomedov has passed away due to complications after being affected with the Covi-d 19 virus.


Khabib nurmagomedov was scheduled to fight the number one ranked UFC light weight Contender and interim champ Justin gaetje in August this year, now there are talks that the fight is either postponed to later this year or not happening at all for it is still unclear when will Khabib nurmagomedov return to defend his belt.

Update:
Khabib nurmagomedov is set to defend his lightweight belt against the UFC lightweight interim champ Justin Gaetje next October, Khabib is defending his belt for the 3rd time after he won it against Al Iaquinta in 2018.
