Amarube Viaduct, Before and After the Reconstruction
Amarube Viaduct is a railway bridge along JR West's San'in main line. Original Amarube Viaduct was a 310.6m long, 41.5m high steel trestle constructed in 1912. It used to be a railway trestle which had highest piers in Japan. It was replaced with prestressed concrete bridge in 2010. Some part of original piers are remained for the tourist attraction.
