PUTRAJAYA CHALLENGE PARK | BEST Malaysian Mountain Bike Trails

First day in Malaysia and just like the day before we get going right from the get go because that's how I roll. No rest for the wicked.

Today we head out to a rad local spot for a bite to eat before heading off the the Putrajaya Challenge Park. This area is something I'd call a recreational park. There is a large stadium at the foot of the hill with a skate park inside which has some of the biggest bowls I have ever seen in real life. But we're here to ride trails.

We headed off to start on this trail system, which by the way is very easy to get to from the airport, Kuala Lumpur has an extremely good rail system which can take you from the airport to a station very close to this trail system.

This network of trails is very well marked. It is basically a series of very short loops. An extremely fun flow trail down, which is short & a short punchy climb back up to either loop that same trail again or you can move on to the next loop.

Nothing technical or super challenging here, just real good fun, fast & flowy trails in a tropical rain forest. There is quite a lot of wildlife around which is fantastic to see. Monkeys, iguana's, monitor lizards and wild boar all share this forest with the riders so if you happen to find your way there, then you'll definitely spot some kid of rad animal on your ride. Watch out for the monkeys, they apparently get very aggressive and can attack you which may also force you to go to hospital to get some shots. Wild boars can also get agro so just try stay clear of those.
