Dideba (Georgian: დიდება, literally "Praise") was the national anthem of Georgia from 1918 to 1920, and from 14 November 1990 to 23 April 2004. It was written and composed by Kote Potskhverashvili (1889–1959). It was replaced by Tavisupleba.

==========DEUTSCH==========

Dideba (deutsch - Es sei gepriesen, georgisch - დიდება [dideba]) ist der Titel der früheren georgischen Nationalhymne. Sie wurde bereits von der Ersten Republik Georgiens 1918 bis 1921 verwendet. Weil sich Georgien in der Rechtsnachfolge dieses Staates sieht, wurde sie 1991 übernommen. Text und Melodie stammen von Kote Pozchweraschwili.

Georgiens Präsident Micheil Saakaschwili hatte im Februar 2004 eine neue Nationalhymne in Auftrag gegeben. Sie wurde im April 2004 mit dem Titel Tawisupleba vom Parlament beschlossen.

დიდება — საქართველოს დემოკრატიული რესპუბლიკის სახელმწიფო ჰიმნი 1918-1921 წლებში და საქართველოს რესპუბლიკის ჰიმნი 1991-2004 წლებში. ის ამავადროულად პირველი ქართული ეროვნული ჰიმნია. ტექსტი და მუსიკა ეკუთვნის კომპოზიტორ კოტე ფოცხვერაშვილს.

2004 წლის აპრილში, „დიდება“ შეიცვალა ახალი სახელმწიფო ჰიმნით — „თავისუფლება“.
