Today was a really nice one to ride the 412, one of my absolute favourite routes not just in Croydon, but around the capital too. It's not particularly long, nor is the journey time but the scenery is just fantastic; loads of greenery with the first stage being a big climb up to Selsdon where its library is a common stop.

Then the driver really mashes the throttle down the hills towards Riddlesdown before heading back up a steep hill while passing Mitchley Wood and getting an aerial view of Purley Golf Course. This is a route well worth ticking off the enthusiasts lists to see what these areas of South London can offer for views.

The allocation helps too; you sometimes get older Ts but DB300 diesels like this one are the type to go for. Torquey and brisk, you can really cover ground fast with a good driver at the helm.
