Pfeiffer Hipace 700 M startup (Magnetic levitation turbo-molecular pump)

We plugged in this pump and started it before installation just to check that everything was working properly.
The sound at 0:54 is the rotor dropping from the levitated position onto the safety bearing.
A turbo pump should not be run in open air like this for extended periods of time.
