Korea's Govt.-Mandated Quarantine at an Airbnb

Currently, all persons entering South Korea must undergo a government-mandated quarantine for 14 days. For those unaware of how seriously this requirement is taken, you are not allowed to take a single step outside during that period. They make everyone download an app upon entering the country that actively tracks your location, input your temperature/symptoms twice a day, take a covid test..

Luckily, I was exempt from having to spend those 2 weeks at a government facility specifically designed for incomers (I heard alarms go off if you open your room door outside of meal times LOL), and spent it at an Airbnb! Room tour coming soon~

*Keep in mind this is my experience as a non-Korean citizen entering Korea with a short-term visa. I planned on coming to Korea on a long-term visa (F-4), but the processing time in America was nearly tripled due to COVID-19. While it would have been more convenient to arrive in Korea on a long-term visa, I wanted to arrive in time to learn about the preparations required in starting a business (our cafe). Thus, I will apply for my F-4 visa in Korea.
