Aasta Hansteen

The Aasta Hansteen field in the Norwegian sea will open a new region for the export of gas to Europe. The field at 1 300 meters depth is planned to come on stream late 2018. The floating spar-platform is the largest in the world – and the first of its kind in Norway. In December the hull and topside were mated. Follow the platform on the journey from construction in South Korea to the Norwegian fjords.
