Yucca brevifolia / Joshua Tree / Yucca Palm

Yucca brevifolia also called Joshua tree belong to genus Yucca and found in certain part of Mojave desert. It is very important tree in desert eco system and provide food to many desert animals. It has a very peculiar shape and it was named Joshua based on biblical figure by Morman settlers. It is a victim of climate change and is slowly loosing habitat. The flowers are pollinated by Yucca moth. It is illegal to cut or damage this tree. Joshua Trees that can survive hard climatic conditions are now struggling for their survival.
