Alaska MEC Officer Message to the Pilots

As Alaska Airlines plans optimistically for its future, our pilot group would like to remind management that the company’s success also requires a contract with the Alaska pilots—one that recognizes the considerable contributions we have made to create the Alaska Airlines of today. The pilots’ contract is deficient in a number of areas including scheduling flexibility and job security to name just a few. Throughout the pandemic, the pilot group has been instrumental in working with management to come up with innovative solutions that have saved the company money and have helped save jobs. The elected pilot leaders are ready to take that same productive focus and energy and sit down with management to solve other contract related issues facing our pilots.
