Concussion Treatment [14 Years After Injury] [Carol's Story] (2016)

My name is Carol and I had my first of epic treatment at Cognitive FX a year ago, at that time. I had a 14 year old head injury from a bicycle accident, and I was told that at the end of two years, I was going to get as well as I would ever be and then I would just have to accept that and I was on a lot of medication when I showed up. I was taking 2 antidepressants and Adderall and even with all that medication, I was so foggy that every day the image it comes to mind for me is in The Lord of the Rings final movie, Frodo is clawing his way up Mount Dune, and he can barely push himself up the hill; and his buddy Sam is just practically running circles around him and that's what every day was like for me. It was a real struggle just to get through the day. After two days of treatment during my first treatment, I said good bye to my brain fog forever.

This is a year later, it has threatened to come back a couple of times but as always, it never happened. My ability to function in daily life is improved a thousand percent. I felt like myself again for the first time in 14 years. I did find that I did not improve as much as I would like, I'm going to say life is so much better.

So I came back with the hopes of looking to see if we could make even further improvement. I just finished my second treatment and this morning, I took an 11 mile bike ride which is the longest bike ride I've taken since my accident and I'm very thrilled about that. I have learned a lot more, I don't know what the results of my brain scan are going to be, but this time I did it without medication. Well, I cut my antidepressants back by 75 percent, I skipped the Adderall entirely and I feel much better than I did before I showed up. So I think this is going to be a huge success and I would recommend this treatment anyone who has had any type of brain injury. They at least owe it to themselves to see if there's way the Cognitive FX can help them. I have been running a small business and I'm looking forward to being able to expand and function in that capacity much more than I have been able to so far.
