XYLYS Stadium TVC 1:10
Excellence is not about the world outside but the world within, an emotion often encountered by the passionate, the challenge to perform to the standards of the force within.
A film conceived for the launch, displayed in exclusive XYLYS stores and then used for release in Cinemas, originated in the watch itself.
The idea started when Reggie (Reginald Goveas) on first look said it looks like a stadium and from then on the idea grew into a script. The watch and the cinematography just played straight into the idea.
The purpose was to build credibility by acknowledging and incorporating dimensions of the customers' life in the product. The film starts with an abstract visual that represents the mood and experience we are familiar with. Just as we get comfortable with the visual being a pneumonic of our ideologies, the rest of the visual starts to uncover and slowly yields to the light to mysteriously reveal its identity as a XYLYS watch.
Due to the visual interpretation, the watch attaches itself to the viewer as a memoir of his toil. The idea is to give the viewer the comfort of staying attached to the past and yet prepared for the future. Less as an accessory and more of an expression / statement of the person's character.
