One of the first compliments I got on 175 Re-Played was “BBC did not telecast so where did you get the footage?”

When I started on this project I did not realise this inning had played in the minds of so many Indians glued to their radios on 18 June 1983, including Dad.

The attempt was to create every second of this inning from scratch, by shooting, creating wigs, sets, enhancing it with CG and VFX. Using elaborate 3D models to simulate trees and flowers.

Through all the constraints and limitations of VFX I held on to the soul of the story like a life raft and powered through a very very tough November drawing from the person that Kapil pa ji is and the very story I was telling.
