Man arrested for ‘contravening lockdown legislation’ to take legal action against police
Lobby group, AfriForum has urged citizens to fight against bullying by law enforcement during the lockdown. The appeal follows a father that was allegedly harassed and arrested by police earlier this month after he violated the lockdown curfew to buy formula milk for his one-day-old baby that was unresponsive after not being able to breastfeed. The affected couple is planning to fight back, by pursuing a civil case against the police for unlawful arrest and harassment.
