U.S. Olympic silver medallist Kenny Bednarek ended his winless streak in Nairobi with a decisive 9.91s victory in the 100m as the home favourite, Ferdinand Omanyala finished fifth. Paced by her sister, Sarah, world 800m champion Mary Moraa set a meeting record of 1:57.96 en route to victory.
