Training horses with DRAW REINS

I don't like training horses with draw reins

Training a horse with draw reins is very different than training a horse with side reins. If you use draw reins for an extended period of time, you can create incorrect neck muscles due to the horse bracing in the draw reins. Draw reins can create a more downhill balance in your horse. In correct dressage we are teaching the horse to have more of an uphill balance. Draw reins are very fixed and when you're holding them in your hand, you can make them too short and your horse ends up tied down into an unforgiving position. If your horse feels stuck, they can end up panicking and even rearing and flipping over backwards. Correctly and fairly training your horse is essential for their mental and physical wellbeing.

This video is about training horses with draw reins. How and why draw reins are bad to train your horse with are explained in this video. Tips on how to train your horse without using draw reins are given in this video. This video shows examples of what training with draw reins does to your horse.
