How to connect Eero to fibre ONT?

Connecting your Eero system to a fibre ONT (Optical Network Terminal) is straightforward. First, ensure your ONT is powered on and has an active internet connection, indicated by stable 'PON' or 'LOS' lights. Next, locate the Ethernet port on your ONT, typically labeled 'LAN1', 'GE1', or 'Internet Out'. Using the Ethernet cable provided with your Eero, connect one end into this designated port on the ONT. Then, plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the 'WAN' or 'Internet' port on your primary Eero unit (the one you intend to use as the main router). Power on your Eero. Finally, open the Eero app on your smartphone and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. The Eero should automatically detect the internet connection from the ONT. If your ONT also functions as a router, consider disabling its Wi-Fi or putting it into 'bridge mode' (if available) to optimize performance and prevent double NAT issues, though the initial physical connection remains identical.
