Cyber Propaganda, Beyond Propaganda Panel Discussion

23 November 2015: As part of its “Beyond Propaganda” series, the Legatum Institute hosted two panel discussions that offered an analysis of the threat to democracy posed by the internet and conspiracies—particularly when used by extremist groups such as ISIS. The first session launched a new Legatum Institute paper, Cyber Propaganda, that looks at how the internet has allowed activists to organise revolutions. Speakers included: Srdja Popovic of CANVAS, Charlie Winter of Georgia State University and Katrina Elledge, a US Defense Department Analyst.
