Shabu shabu is a type of Japanese food that you don't often find at restaurants abroad. It's a hotpot that you cook yourself at your table, which is really fun! You get thinly-sliced meat and vegetables that cook quickly in the broth. We tried shabu shabu for the first time at On-Yasai in Tokyo (Shinbashi-Ginza branch). It wasn't the cheapest meal at Japan but it was really enjoyable - and there were robots as waiters! You can order tabehoudai (all you can eat) or a set plan, and then a la carte on a touchscreen.
