Dogcipe No.013 Salmon Meal Recipe
Here’s the meal recipe using salmon and sardine for dogs!
Fish is a good source for the protein with Omega-3 fatty acids!
Recommend getting organic, antibiotic-free salmon and a can of sardine that does not contain extra salt. It is safe (and beneficial) for the dogs to eat the salmon skin, but some dogs may have a digestive problem as the salmon skin is high in fat. If they do, remove the skin.

Recommended Serving Size per day:
Under 50lb: 3% of your pet’s ideal weight
50-100lb: 2% of your pet’s ideal weight
Over 100lb: 1.5% of your pet’s ideal weight
Reduce the amount of food from the suggested amount above for the less active dog and older dog. Increase the amount of food from the suggested amount above for the hyperactive dog. Watch your dog’s weight while feeding the homemade meal and adjust as necessary.
CAUTION: Every dog is different. Make your best judgement on the amount and the ingredients depending on your own pet’s allergies and food intolerance level.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup canned sardine
1 lb salmon
2 cup cooked rice (a bit more than a half cup of uncooked rice)
3/4 cup broccoli
1/4 lb beef liver
3/4 lb cooked sweet potatoes
Any supplements of your choice
DIRECTION:
Cook rice as directed in the package.
Dice the sweet potatoes and cooked in the boiling water.
Ground the beef liver in a food processor.
Add 1 tbsp coconut oil to the pan to start cooking salmon.
Add bone broth or water into the pan to make it moister.
Once salmon is cooked half way, add canned sardine. If canned sardine is packed with water, you can include water from the can as well.
Once the salmon is cooked, it will be easily broken into smaller pieces that would be good size for your dog.
Add the ground beef liver, broccoli, cooked rice, cooked sweet potatoes.
Add any supplements as needed.
Make sure everything is fully cooked and the food is cooled before serving.
Place them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.
