“Conversion on the Way to Damascus” by Caravaggio

In 1601, that bad boy of the Baroque, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio - known simply as Caravaggio today. It was commissioned for the Cerasi Chapel of the church of Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome, and it still hangs there today. In my estimation, it is one of the greatest paintings of all time - and though the subject is vast and we have many to choose from - I also think this is the greatest horse in the world of art.
