How to make Crucible Tools/Tongs for bigger castings

Our friend Collin gave us his veg-oil furnace, which is much larger than our old one (thanks Colin!).To go with it we have a new larger crucible so that we can pour enough aluminum to fill the big castings we want to make for the CNC router project (see https://youtu.be/Jh4MVzn61dg). We need new tools to handle the bigger crucible, and this video shows how we made them from scrap materials.

Of course, this is all preposterously dangerous, and I wouldn't recommend anyone follow this untested example - especially if they don't own safety sandals!
