Apache - Shadows Ukulele Cover - Jez Quayle Ukulele Band

Here's my ukulele rendition of an instrumental classic. 'Apache' was written by English composer, Jerry Lordan, and was a massive hit for The Shadows in 1960. I saw an interview recently with Hank Marvin (lead guitarist with The Shadows) who remembers Lordan first demonstrating the tune to him on a ukulele! Whilst Lordan wrote the main tune, Marvin came up with the distinctive introduction section. The inspiration for this one came from the 1954 American western film 'Apache', which starred Burt Lancaster. I recorded the video using a Panasonic HC-V250 camcorder -- all of the sound was recorded using the in-built, stereo microphone. I used Shotcut to edit the video together and mix the sound.
